The following things have helped me in the job search/soul search process.
- Keep a folder of interests and passions
- If there is a company you know you love, print it out, save it in a document or pin it on a Pinterest Board about it. I've done all three of those. Seeing the common threads between the different pieces that I've printed out, posted and pasted has helped me know clearly what I would really love to work with. "Knowing is half the battle" but definitely the right place to start.
- Know your personal strengths
- Patriarchal Blessing
- Personal Revelation
- Personal reflection on the past, introspection in the present and projection toward a desired future
- Insights into who I am and who I have always been shared by my family members, close friends and personal mentors.
- Strengths Finder Survey
- Character Strengths and Virtues Survey
- Literacy Works' Personal Learning Style Survey
- Myers Briggs Type Indicator Assessment
- Strong Interest Inventory Assessment
"There are many gifts, and to every man is given a gift by the Spirit of God.
To some is given one, and to some is given another, that all may be profited thereby."
"Let us kneel and talk with our Heavenly Father,
learn about our gifts and talents, find ways to develop them,
make choices based on who we are and what we have been given,
come to an understanding of what we are to accomplish here in mortality,
and make the choices to bring it about."
